SKILLS:

Project Management: I'm a fully certified PRINCE2 practitioner. I supervise a busy web development office, managing and planning incoming projects, liaising with stakeholders and clients and developing web sites to meet their content requirements. I have an awareness of other Project Management methodologies including Agile/Scrum.

Business Management: I'm registered self employed and I run a successful DJ/promotions business in my spare time. I run full business accounts with the budgeting and planning a small business requires.

Website Management: Involvement in hardware upgrade decision making, Search Engine Optimisation, cross browser testing, Accessibility compliance testing, Statistical package code and analysis.

Communication: I can deal effectively with people at all levels, attitudes and abilities, from students to senior managers, as well as external suppliers and customers. December 2005 to Present:

  • Supervising a two person design and development team, making easily updateable web sites with complex features.
  • Managing incoming site design and web development projects and apply the CMS into news or information sites, Flash applications, blogs and XML feeds.
  • The lead web developer for the corporate Content Management System (RedDot) developing all the core web site functionality.
  • Overseeing the successful redesign, restructuring and redevelopment of the web site.
  • Administering, supporting and training over 350 CMS users across the organisation.
  • Scheduling CMS maintenance and upgrades, reporting problems to the server team.
