PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT:
E-CONTENT OFFICER (TECHNICAL) - Derbyshire County Council
October 2004 to December 2005
I worked in a project management environment as a technical officer
for the County Council, developing their new CMS (Tridion),
integrating existing applications and creating front end XHTML templates.
I administered the CMS content authors, I also developed workflow and
quality control processes in an organisation with over 5000 employees.
The project was to bring all the disparate applications and web sites
in to the central, corporate CMS, on one hosting environment. I worked
with many different external application providers and many different
departments, integrating their applications into the corporate styled
website.
The CMS provided thousands of pages of content for several public facing
web sites, an intranet and various extranet sites. This all demanded
a broad understanding of all web development issues in a pressurised
environment. It was essential I implement web good practice standards,
maintain a fully useable and accessible site (according to WAI standards)
and ensure all elements complied to our own and UK government standards
and guidelines. I developed and maintained very high quality services
to the public delivered by the web, which meant rigorous error checking,
bug fixes, reporting server problems and maintaining fault tracking
reports.

end web design templates to very complex content management and e-commerce

between the user interface, the back-end program and the MySQL database.
